Out of the office, making way for new ideas: our 2026 team retreat in Winterberg was the perfect opportunity to close our laptops for a change and bond more closely as a team. Winterberg provided the ideal setting for this. In the not-too-high mountains, we combined creative workshops with outdoor activities. This gave rise to plenty of fresh ideas and new approaches to our work, which benefit not only us but also our clients.

Join us once again for three days in Winterberg!

Why did our journey take us to beautiful Winterberg this year?

A successful year not only requires full commitment at the agency, but it also calls for moments when we can all take a breather together. That’s why the Lorenz and Fuchs team packed their bags from June 17 to 19, 2026, to spend three days in Winterberg in the Sauerland region . Surrounded by nature, we were able to briefly leave the hustle and bustle of the agency behind and focus entirely on what matters most to us: working even better together as a team and having a great time!

A Perfect Start to 3 Days Full of Inspiration

As soon as we arrived at our accommodations in sunny, warm Winterberg, we immediately felt the pleasant tranquility of nature. Since our daily lives are usually a whirlwind of video conferences and deadlines, we enjoyed our arrival all the more while sipping refreshing drinks. It’s worth noting that our team comes together for these events from all corners of the country. We’re spread out across Germany, from Kiel to Munich and from Osnabrück to Berlin. After everyone had settled into their rooms, we gathered on the hotel terrace to set off together on the planned mountain bike tour to the peaks of Winterberg. Our tip: definitely go with e-bikes. Winterberg isn’t high in the mountains, but the climbs are quite challenging.

After climbing up steep trails, we reached the Hochheide Hut and were rewarded with a spectacular view of the Sauerland .

The Results of Our Creative Sessions

First, a hearty breakfast, then full concentration: Our first major brainstorming session of the day in the state-of-the-art, fully equipped facilities of the Cowolo Workingspace already yielded plenty of ideas for future client projects. We had passionate discussions about innovative ideas and optimized workflows.

Essentially, the discussion centered on the following topics:

  • How can we improve Lorenz and Fuchs in 2026 and 2027?
  • AI-driven automation of various processes (internal and external)
  • Better Prompting in LLMs, e.g., with Claude and Gemini
  • Thoroughly review and prioritize ongoing projects
  • Review and Refine SEO Standards
  • Finalizing our new LF WordPress themes (Ratio & Veritas)
  • Structure a new proposal process, including package pricing
  • Coordinate Various SEA Topics
  • Expand newsletters, white papers, and lead generation campaigns
  • Optimizing ClickUp Processes (It’s a Never-Ending Task!)

We also analyzed current trends, which allowed us to set specific milestones for the coming half-year . Since everyone on the team contributed their own perspective, we developed concepts that will tangibly advance our services .

As we sketched out and refined our ideas, a clear vision for the coming months began to take shape.

The second evening: unwinding together, laughing, and recharging for the next day

In the early evening, we returned to our accommodations, exhausted but in high spirits, to get ready for the evening. Since a retreat is also all about socializing , we used our time together for a lively discussion in the hotel lounge. Amid funny anecdotes from the past, personal stories also came up—stories that usually don’t get much attention in the office.

After that, we headed off to go bowling. A few strikes, lots of gutter balls (in bowling, those are called “poodles”), and plenty of banter later, one thing was clear:
We’re not just ambitious when it comes to projects. Cheering people on works up an appetite, so we wrapped up the day with dinner together.

Conclusion on the 2026 Team Retreat in Winterberg

After sorting through the results, jotting down ideas, and clarifying the next steps, we left with notebooks full of notes and an even greater drive to get things done.
We’re already incorporating these new insights into our work. The team event was a complete success, as it offered the perfect balance of productivity and team building. By laughing, reflecting, and planning together, we’re returning to our daily agency routine feeling reenergized.

We’ll see where the coming year takes us and what topics —including those related to AI —will be on our minds (and the world’s) by then.
